Dreamers and Seekers – A Book That’s About You Too – Part 1.

Updated: Jan 27

This book is a heartfelt project born out of my personal journey, dreams, and inspirations. I’ve realized that throughout my life, uplifting human stories have given me strength during times when I lost confidence, felt stuck, or believed there was no way forward. These stories brought me hope, reassurance, and faith that the life experiences of others can be meaningful and helpful—not just for me but for anyone open to them (especially when they come from people in our own communities).

When I decided to become a writer, I knew that romantic novels inspired by true stories would be the path where I could truly flourish. However, I also understood that I couldn’t fully embark on that journey right away. First, I wanted to express my gratitude to the people whose examples, strength, and perseverance had helped me take my first steps.

This book is an expression of that gratitude—a project I hope will not only build bridges for me but also for those who participate in it, as well as for its readers.

I felt that a book was the best medium for this because a tangible story can touch us far more deeply than any online content. I imagined my friend struggling with self-doubt or Liz, a 9-year-old French girl who dreams of becoming a writer, holding this book in their hands—a book that includes their own stories and dreams. Maybe they’ll pause for a moment and feel that anything is possible. That their stories matter, and their dreams belong in this world. Wherever they are in life, there is always hope, always a reason to keep moving forward. Perhaps this book will help them recognize and reinforce the wonder within themselves. And I include myself in this because I’ve relied on that same sense of wonder.

At the start, I had no idea how to write a book or how publishing worked.

But Martin Luther King’s words kept my spirit alive:

“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”

This quote helped me stop worrying about the big picture. Instead, I began working step by step, ingredient by ingredient, and now I find myself in a flow that carries me forward.

This book isn’t just for those who already believe in themselves; it’s also for those who are still searching for their path. In my mid-thirties, I didn’t know where I was headed because I hadn’t taken the time or courage to reflect on my thoughts or learn from my life’s lessons. That’s why this book includes a creative self-reflection workbook.

Because if you want to change, you have to take action. And if you don’t, it might just mean that the pain isn’t strong enough yet...

I realized this years ago when I traveled to England. The sense of suffocation I felt at the time—both from being where I was and the vision of my future—compelled me to take the first step toward change.

The workbook was created in collaboration with professionals to ensure the exercises are not only useful but genuinely motivating. Years ago, I came across a creative workbook by Szabolcs Lovasa transactional analysis organizational developer—that had a profound impact on me and inspired this initiative. The “Life Script” exercise in this book is his generous contribution to the project.

The workbook’s development was overseen by Klára Kovács, a communication expert, integrative self-awareness mentor-in-training, and trainee couple and family therapist. Her extensive experience in self-development—both individually and in group settings—has been invaluable to this project.

We may not have all the answers in advance, and we certainly weren’t born with a manual, but taking the first step opens up the path. The stories and life experiences in this book aim to convey this belief and strength.

Reading and conducting the interviews was deeply moving. I believe the spirit and goal of this project have given courage even to those who were hesitant. I won’t deny it—there were moments when my eyes filled with tears hearing certain events. But it’s important to emphasize that I approached these moments with the utmost respect and trust. The initial drafts came only to me, and after my preliminary edits, they went to Renáta Roszik, to whom I am endlessly grateful for her professional and friendly support, encouragement, and help in finalizing the interviews.

In the next post, I’ll introduce who this book is for, the stories you’ll encounter, and how it can become a source of inspiration for every reader.
